What is the socket size to remove the lugnut on the rear wheel? The tool provided V22501-T01 is far to weak to remove the nuts that were overtighten (probably with an air gun at manufacturing, since they have never been touch after our purchase).

I your rig has Dicor simulators, that wrench is only used to remove (2) lug nut simulators that hold the actual hubcap on. 65/ft pounds each. Underneath, thats where you will find the REAL lugnuts that hold the wheel on the hub. If yours is like mine, the 1-5/16 nuts will be stamped with the torque value. In my case...450ft/lbs each...or in other words, one heck of a pull.

That might be the max torque of the nut itself, but I doubt if 450 ft/lbs is what your wheels are torqued at. You would never get the wheels off.

I'm not trying to remove the wheel, just the wheel simulator. I found the size of the tool provided to be 1-9/16 but I have not tried to remove the nuts yets since it will scratch the hub cap itself due to the socket wall being much thicker than the tool. I will try a few more things since my goal is to just remove the cover for future access.

In the post by Penquin, it shows the nuts have a cover with a dimple. Those covers are removable with these pliers, then the long handled wrench will fit the wheel simulator nuts.

Also, many of the 22.5 inch wheel lug nuts are torqued to 450 ft pounds.

I wouldn't worry about scratching the stainless wheel insert/cover. Its made to give a finished look to the wheel and that's about it.

Well I finally had time to remove the 2 lugnuts using the socket I purchased without any damage to the cover. I tried torquing back on with the provided tool but the last mechanic really damaged it (rounded out the edges) so now I just need to use my socket. The torque was not that high, just more than what the tool could support.
Anyone know what torque should be used on the simulated lugnut? I will retorque to spec otherwise I will leave them as is for now. Season is almost over :^(
One more outing next weekend.

Dicor website above (Penquin's post #3) states tighten firmly, or 60 ft pounds for the jam nuts.

So I read this thread watched you tube video and bought the special pliers in previous post.
I cannot find any dimples or any other identifying marks on simulator cover nuts anywhere. Tried pliers on all of the simulator nuts with no luck. I need to remove the back two so I can install the crossfire tire pressure equalization system.
