Cap fading

Our front cap and some of the sides are fading on our 2016 thor four winds. We purchased the resist all warranty for this and is supposed to be valid for five years. We are now inquiring about it.

Have to wax my class c cap ! Guess I'll use the 2x12 and two ladders to reach the entire cap. Anybody got any better idea.

Yeah, I wish I'd have come up with a scaffold of some sort when I did the clear coat paint...would have helped doing a better job no doubt.

I'll add that my sloppy clear coat is still looking great. I really do wish I'd gotten a scaffold and done a better job. Still, I don't regret doing it at all...very happy with how its holding up

Oxidation of front cap

Get la awesome cleaner at dollar tree 99 cents I believe. I use this to clean everything on my rv. This stuff is a miracle. Never seen anywhere except dollar tree. Clean complete top and front cap with rv extend brush. I get on top and use soft bathroom brush. This will clean everything on top at 10 to 15 percent mixture in water. Rinse thoroughly. The I use Griouts garage best show wax. Expensive but last a year. No more discoloring anywhere on my 2016 Axis. Next year is always easier. I use electric buffer to take wax off put on by hand then you’ll have no mess

Has anyone tried wrapping their rig?
Interested in how it holds up. I have read that in some applications it is normal to have to rewrap every 5 years or so.

I used a product called Miricle Cloth (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Miracle-C...CABEgJBe_D_BwE” on my boat for almost a decade. It was slipped in brackish water for about 6 months of the year and only waxed before it went in for the year. The great thing about this product is that it does not remove like a compound does. The hotter it is the better it works. Hope this helps.

I just priced a wrap on the overhang at $550. To wrap a class C, 22' house only, no window wrap is $5440. If you have to redo every 5 years or so I think paint and clear coat would be a better choice, for me anyway.
