Porch light leak

When checking the MH today prior to covering it for the winter I discovered water on the floor at the corner of the front wall of the slide. In looking for the sourch I found that the top of the porch light had shrunk and in doing so created a funnel shaped opening that was directing water right into the slide wall where the wires to the light come out. From the residue of the caulk on the wall it appears that at one time the light was in complete contact with the wall. I assume heat caused the light to change shape but I don't think it was heat from the bulb as it is well below that part of the light and there is also metal shield. In addition we don't use that light as we have others. For the time being I sealed the hole in the wall, the indentation and void on the top of the light with silicon. I'll replace the whole light fixture in the spring. I hope you can see what talking about in the pictures.

That has to be a manufacturing defect, it would take a LOT of heat to deform the housing like shown in the picture.
