Anyone know what the wire bundle and the 7.5a fuse under the hood is for. The chassis is a 2016 E 450 with a RS26 box.Click image for larger version

That odd. Does everything work Ok inside and outside the RV?

How many wires in that bundle?

You might find a schematic some where that will referance the color wires in that bundle.

Can you look a another late model Class C in your area? Perhaps at a Dealer or a neighbor?

You might find something in the 2016 E-Series incomplete vehicle manual (Ford)

Or one of the other publications Ford has available.

Everything works as it should. I was just doing preventive maintenance and found the wire bundle. All of the wires have shrink tubing on them. I assume if they took the time to shrink tube all the wires at least some are hot when plugged in to 120v or the engine is on. Guess a call to Thor is in order. The dealer I purchased from new is worse than useless.

To me that looks like a chassis option bundle and a call to Ford may yield better results than a call to Thor.

JamieGreek, you. we’re correct about the wire bundle. It is a Ford chassis bundle for other type of vehicles, like an ambulance. The E450 chassis is used for many types of vehicles. Still trying to figure out the 7.5 fuse.

There's a similar thread on this exact subject. These are the wires from the "Auxiliary Switches" in the cab. They re used for PTO's, emergency lights, sirens, pumps, etc., depending on how the commercial chassis is up-fitted. I wired one of them to an ejection seat on the passenger side. Another lights up sign on the back of the coach..."I My Be Slow, But I'm Ahead Of You"!!
