When the generator is running the converter is making 12V power regardless of if the battery is connected or not.

This sounds like a loose wire. I'd start by checking the battery cables to see if they are tight and then the connections at the breaker nearby the battery.

My Jensen 212 quit working after our last trip. It started working again after about a week. After reading all of the problems people have had with these, I won't take the chance of being on a trip and not being able to see what the toad is doing behind us.

I'm in process of replacing the Jensen with a Kenwood DDX418BT. It doesn't have inputs for the 3 cameras, so I bought a Voyager multiplexer to be able to use all 3. I think/hope I have the wiring all figured out. Hopefully I have time to finish it up this weekend. Wish me luck!

Got everything hooked up and working. Forgot to label the cameras before I disconnected the Jensen, so it took a some trial & error to get them right. Also got back up guide grid on the display. I'm a little slow so it took about 3 hours. As long as it stays working, well worth it.

Ours did not work so we took it to camping world twice and they replaced it with the same model. It didn’t work second time out. Got tired of messing with it so replaced it with a pioneer too! All is good now!

There is a fuse panel in the forward bin under the driver. This is how Thor powers the dash components, ie; AC, etc. Double check all screw-down connections. A known problem area.

Axis Camera

I've had my Axis in for service twice to fix the backup camera going out. They even put a new radio in. Apparently, the connection on the back of the camera is a very small connection that looses contact. Bad design. Ironically, this radio/backup monitor was one of the features that drove me to purchase the Thor Axis.

So... I decided to purchase a 7" LCD monitor on eBay. I connected the monitor to the cables running into the splitter box in the compartment above the steering wheel on the dashboard. Once I figured out which wires to use (positive ignition, ground, and reverse), I had it working in about 10 minutes. So now, my radio is just for radio and my backup camera, including side cameras are on the new monitor. It's larger and brighter. I wish I had done this earlier.

All good so far

My problem with the power to the coach going in and out there was a fuse under the coach that was broken and exposed once I found that they replaced it and so far all good but I am looking at everyone changing out the radio system to Pioneer or something like that so I might be interested in doing that anyway since the cameras that come with the axis are not very bright
