Inverter power

So I noticed my microwave was not on. Using either the generator or battery power it would not power up. So I checked for power at two other 110vac outlets. With my multimeter I was only getting 85vac. I do not have shore power to test it where I am parked. Before I pull out the inverter to test it I I looking for suggestions first what to look for.

85 volts from the generator or the inverter? Unless you did some rewiring the inverter on the 31W only powers 4 outlets: both TVs, DVD cabinet and the fridge.

I checked for power at the fridge outlet and the tv outlet... only 85 volts at both with the inverter on. The inverter display is showing 113

- What happens if you turn the inverter off and use the gen? Do you get the correct readings then?
- How many watts on the inverter (or do the conversion)?
- How many batteries, what type and # of AH?

The inverter source may be weak (battery bank) or it could be on it's way out.

Are you sure the inverter display isn't 11.3 V (the battery voltage)? The Xantrex 1800 that came with min didn't have the ability to display the output AC voltage. Only the input DC voltage and current.

Question?

I'm looking at this inverter and I thought Lithium had a different charge profile than lead acid, yet the AIMs manual for there inverter has them listed as the same?

Battery type selector
Switch setting Description Boost / Vdc Float / Vdc
0 Charger Off
1 Gel USA 14.0 13.7
2 AGM 1 14.1 13.4
3 AGM 2 14.6 13.7
4 Sealed lead acid /LIFEPO4 lithium14.4 13.6
5 Gel EURO 14.4 13.8
6 Open lead acid 14.8 13.3
7 Calcium 15.1 13.6
8 De-sulphation 15.5 (4 Hours then Off)
9 Not used

LiFePO RV batteries have an internal controller to regulate the charging voltage to each cell (3.25 - 3.65 volts) as well as the output voltage. Unlike lead acid batteries each LiFePO cell must be monitored and the voltage controlled. The only thing to remember is that lithium batteries are temperature sensitive and should not be charged when they are below 32 degrees.

My mistake. The display shows 13.3, thats the battery voltage. I have two 300ah 6volt batteries in series. AGM. I tested it again with the generator on. The microwave is working, I found that the generator breaker had tripped. But still only have 85 volts at the tv outlet when only on inverter power.
