Removing Sliding Drawers

Hi,

The latch on one of the large sliding drawers (under dinette seat) in our Freedom Elite 24HE isn't working. I'd like to take the drawer out completely to get at the latch. I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the drawer. There seem to be spring sections along the track that I press but none release the travk/drawer.

Do these come out?

Pete

If they are like the slide out drawers in my Thor Vegas 25.2, there are little plastic tabs that stick out of the last extension of the full slide mechanisms. You have to push one plastic tab up on one side and down on the other while pulling out the drawer from the slides. Re-installation is easy; just push the slides back in and the little locking mechanisms will take hold.

In my 2018 Challenger 37YT, that's how my drawers come out. I had trouble releasing the one under my dinette seat and ended up prying it up or down with a small screwdriver. The opposite side released with no problem but the other just wouldn't let go until I forced it a little. Just be careful and don't put a lot of force on it and it should come loose. Like mentioned above, remember one pushes up, one pushes down. It took me a few tries to figure this out but I soon did! If you can't get it, take pics and post, someone will be able to help out. Good luck!

And once you get it out take a toothbrush and clean out the small bits of sawdust from both the glide and the track. +/- 2cents

I found the releases and removed the drawer! Thanks everyone for the help. I ordered new latches from Amazon.

Good to go to Fort Wilderness in about ten days.
