replace captain seats in class c/ seat belt issues?

we need to replace the drivers seat in our class c, we were told if the seat belt is attached to our present seat we can't do it??????Why not?????

You can but a dealer is liable for his mistakes, so most won't touch the crash mitigation system. The problem is the windshield, steering wheel air bag, seat and seat belts are all part of the crash restraint system These items are DOT certified by the manufacture to meet NHTSA standards.
