Foggy driver windshield

I have a 2017 Miramar 37.1 . What are the best settings to keep my front windshield from fogging up, in the rain, or any time.

Thanks

Defrost, A/C button on, some heat.

Also make sure that the windshield vents are pointed at the windshield to be sure the air is getting to it to defrost it. Many times the vents are turned away from the windshield.

Run the 2 defrost fans. That’s why they’re installed.

This may sound like a dumb question, but what are the conditions to make the windshield fog?

I ask because when I was a true newbie, I saw lots of coaches with the fans, so naturally I wanted fans too. What I end up buying did not have the fans.

But we have used the defog setting to help melt ice on windshield, but I am at a lost to know what the fan would do if I had one? I thought they may have been to keep you cool if coach was really hot?

They are for defrosting the large windshield on class A motorhomes. They are not intended to keep the front passengers cool.

The windshield fogs from different inside and outside temps hitting the glass.

Fog is just condensation. The windshield has to be colder than the dew point of the air. You can have fog on either the inside or outside of the windshield (or both) but generally the inside fogs when the exterior temperature is lower than the dew point of the interior air. So blowing warm dry air on the windshield evaporates the fog and prevents further condensation.

Make sure that air is set to come from outside. Most likely in your case it is set to recirculation.

As said before, run the fans, pointed at the windshield.

Fan flowing on windshield is not relevant. The air moisture is critical. It is humid inside from people and propane. You have to bring air from outside..Every vehicle has switch to bring air from inside or outside.

Not true. The fans help. A lot. To clear the windshield you need to evaporate the condensed moisture and warm the glass to prevent additional condensation. The problem is that the glass is colder than the moist indoor air. But the air isn’t saturated so it can hold the evaporated condensation.

Most important, check all the ductwork under and behind the dash. All this ductwork is installed by Thor and, if they don't do it any better than they do the duckwork for the coach furnace, you may find a some of them loose or disconnected.
