IMO its best to use two layers to maximize heat and sound rejection.
Start out with the Dynomat Extreame (or one of its competitors) then top it off with something like Fat Mat (3/4 inch thick) foam insulation.
It did wonders for my Axis. Apply under the dog house and either under your carpet inside and or under the floor boards / on the fire wall.
But it might be hard to use the 3/4 inch thick one under your carpets so I would double up with the dynomat stuff.
