Onan Generator ?

This spring we bought a used 2004 Four Wind Chateau Sports 24-T motorhome with a Onan 40000 Microquiet Generator. I know prious owner had service done on generator. I have the Onan Manual.
I want to do the annual service on the generator. Does anyone know the stock number of the air, and fuel filters? Also has anyone have a problem in removing spark arrestor cleanout plugs?
Thanks for any information

Has anyone on the Forum cleaned the spark arrestor as suggested in the Onan owner's manual every 50 hours? Is it very difficult to do and where is it located? Thanks.

Many auto parts stores carry, or can order, air, oil, and air filters for Onan. Take your model number to the store to make sure you get the right parts. I normally go to OReilley to get my stuff but I'm sure others can get them as well. You can also go to the Onan website and look up part numbers for your generator.

Thanks and thanks for your service. What about my spark arrestor question? Necessary and easy maintenance?

To be honest I have never serviced a spark arrestor so not sure what is involved, sorry can't help there.

I did a search and it seems simple. Remove the plug and run the engine about 5 minutes to blow out the soot, replace plug and done. Now we both know!!! Glad you asked!!!

I've done the spark arrestor service on my Onan 3600 (LP version of the 4000) and the plug is difficult to remove. Recommend using antiSieze when putting the plug back in.
