Rust around mirrors

I知 getting rust developing around where the mirrors attach to the coach. I知 not sure if you can tell it in the photo. I壇 like to take care of this before it gets worse, but I知 not sure how to proceed. Any advice?

I'm guessing it's not the coach rusting. It's more then likely the base plate for the mirror. You can probably pull the mirror and replace the base plate making sure you seal around the edge to prevent this in the future. I'll be replacing my mirrors in a while as the chrome has begun to peel off near the base. And my coach is a 2016.

My 2016 Vegas had the same erosion of finish around the mirror bolt covers, which I noticed just before the 1 year warranty expired. Thor sent me replacement mirrors under warranty, that I installed myself.

About a year later, I see that the "cancer" is recurring. It's corrosion, not rust. May just overspray those spots with a chrome rattle can. It's a band aid, but I won't be buying new mirrors.

Rusty mirrors

I have a little rust around 1 mirror, found that the drain plug on the botton of the base was full of silicone sealant. It held water and probably started pieces inside made of steel to rust. Cleaned out the hole an it quit bleeding.
