Back cap crack

Just noticed where the roof and rear cap join the fiberglass is puckered up and beginning to crack. Anyone have any ideas why or how to fix?Click image for larger version

Very odd. What coach to you have? Year model? Is it under warrantee?

Im not sure I would can help you but perhaps you can temp fix with either eternalbond tape or dicor to prevent leaks?

Do you have another picture that shows more of the roof/end cap seam?

Is it leaking?

I guess to fix it right someone would remove bulge and then fiberglass smooth? Might be a lot of work for something that you cant see?

Hopefully some others can chime in and help.

We have a 2017 Thor Quantum RS26, purchased new May 2017. Our rv is parked in our garage when not being used. Sometime after the warrenty expired I noticed what Thor calls (a wave) on the back cap. I was told it is normal and cosmetic only. How ever within the last week a small crack appeared. I drilled a small hole at base of hole and caulked. I will check every few days to see what happens.

Yeah thats pretty extreame "Wave". Sound like you did the right thing. I say if you CANT see if from the ground just keep your eye on it and check for leaks/new cracks regularly.
