Scavenger circuits that kill a Vegas chassis battery.

Which fuses run the radio and radio memory? I had pulled these fuses before but forgot which ones they are. Even with the coach circuits shut down, the radio and memory will kill the chassis battery in a couple of weeks.

That’s not been my experience. Once I shut off the main switch my chassis battery does not die in a couple of weeks. In all fairness, I did replace the Axxera with a much more superior radio, and perhaps less vampire-ish radio.

Most people just put a battery disconnect in instead of spending the hours trying to trace down whatever/however the wiring of the day was done. Its easier on the noggin and the wallet.

I was plugged into shore power. Without cranking the engine for a couple of weeks, the chassis battery didn't have enough power to crank the engine. Gas was below 5 gallons, so the generator wouldn't start. With the radio fuse and radio memory fuses pulled, cranking the engine after a month of sitting idle was not an issue. One of the fuses was #25, but I can't remember the number of the memory fuse. These are two big scavengers of the chassis battery.

When plugged into shore power for storage I run a battery minder to the dash 12V outlet that is plugged in under the dinette.
