Question Please don’t laugh at my question….

My husband and I just traded our Class C 2018 Thor Chateau 30D for a Class A 2018 Thor Palazzo 36.3. I’m camped out at a nearby resort so I can clean and stock it and get to know it a little before we head to Florida mid October.
Here’s my question:
How do you turn off the A/C? I want to open windows without running any heat, a/c, fans etc but I cant figure out how to do that. Can anyone help me?

Exclamation

The air conditioner is turned on and off by settings through the thermostat. And there are many different types. Some have slide switches where you set it for A/C, heat, or off. The Dometic thermostat in mine has settings chosen by pressing the MODE switch until the setting you want appears on the screen. In my case, the word "off" appears in tiny letters in the lower right corner of the screen. The A/C continues to run for about 20 seconds before shutting down.

If all else fails, turn off the circuit breaker for the A/C.

Well the answer is the thermostat. But the question is:
Is it the A/C running?
Or just the A/C fan?
There should be a fan switch on the thermostat for AUTO, or ON (maybe HIGH and LOW). If not in AUTO the fan runs continuously. And of course, there should also be a COOL-OFF-HEAT switch but that OFF doesn't turn off the fan unless it's in AUTO.

And, to add a comment...anyone that laughs at another member's questions on this forum is simply laughing at themselves for being such a know-it-all (which also means stupid). There's not an issue with RV's that one or many of us have not been stumped by. The simpler the issue...the more stumped they can be. Please ask any and all questions and enjoy the new ride!!

Congratulations! We love our Palazzo. Looks like your question has been answered. But kudos to you for practicing and getting to know your Palazzo before hitting the road. My kids and I have had a lot of fun on the shakedown trips. Have had a lot of duh moments, but could always laugh about them.

You probably have the firefly system. Looks like a tablet mounted on the wall. There should be an icon that looks like a thermometer. Click it and you should see zone1 and zone2. You should also see the words cool in orange. If it isn't orange, it isn't on. If it is orange and you click it, it will change colors and turn off.

Remember that once you turn off the air conditioner, the fan remains on while it cycles down to off. Usually takes a couple of minutes.

Yours was a well thought out and detailed question.
You'll find we're as helpful as can be when we are presented with the context you offered.

The ones we laugh at are:
What hammer do you use?(with no reason as to why or what)
Can I put the key in the ignition upside down?

We laugh because it's better than crying when those askers reveal themselves as:
Dentist
Attorney
Cpa
Pastor
Master mechanic.
