Slide leaks

My Mirimar 35.3 2018 large slide on drivers side always leaks when it is extended. It looks like the ceiling is bowed and water puddles in the center and goes under the weather seal. Help

I'm really surprised it leaks when extended. Does it make its way into your coach while extended or bring water in when retracting the slide?

If it wasn't so new I'd suggest your seals are dry and need to be lubed so they flip properly when extending the slide.

A simple solution would be to auto level your coach then raise the side opposite the long slide slightly to allow the water to easily run off. I actually have my auto level adjusted for a slight tilt to allow my toilet to flow better.

Hope this helps.

My 2018 miramar Drivers side slide leaked over the dining room window, so it only happened when slide is out, not the window it was or is the roof of the slide, look between the slide top and the awning after a driving rain and you can probably see water puddling on the topper roof, also mine leak at the railing end if the inside seal has the motor cable running through it make sure the seal is down in the pan at the bottom corners of every slide water will run along the cable back into the RV. PS all my slides leak and still leak after 1 1/2 years still working with THOR to stop

It has leaked since I bought it

It leaks onto the couch, it had leaked since I bought it, they put a new seal and it stopped for a while or at least I thought it did but now it’s worse than ever it leaks every time it rains

Go on the roof and take a picture down the side of the RV at the top of the window, Thor use a older seal at first and I could see it had shrunk and now they say they have a Polyurethane seal and I am waiting to get all my windows seal swap out. Use a zoom lens on an iPhone or better to be able to see good. With the sun overhead

Problems

After e-mailing Thor customer service and calling I found out you want to ask for a customer relations Specialist, they have more power and don’t act stupid or you will get nothing

I have a leaky slide out on our 2015 Windsport. It occurred after about three years of use. The seal appears to be in great shape. It follows the contour of the roof and fits well against the roof. However, when it rains the awning above the slide out droops due to the weight of the rainwater. Water runs over the end of the awning, but some of it runs back under the awning and drops onto the top of the slide. I suspect that the rubber gasket could never seal a large flow of water, because there is very little pressure on the gasket to roof connection. The suggestion to tilt the RV slightly to encourage water to run away from the RV wall is a good one.

Yep...It works for me and as I mentioned it helps with the toilet as well.

One thing to consider, the slide awnings are NOT designed to keep water off the slide. The are designed to help keep debris off the top. Most trailers don't even have the toppers at all. It may also be worth checking to make sure some small twig or other debris isn't caught under the rubber seal. It wouldn't take much to allow water to get in.
