I got mine along with a splitter. Have not taken it out on the road yet, so I cannot be sure, but it looks like my ScanGuage and the HUD can access the computer at the same time. The HUD shows the rpm and the ScanGuage still connects and registers the mpg. Will see for sure next week when I take it out on the road.

VKB,

According to the tracker, my HUD spent the day at the Hickory NC hub. Should make it down the road to me tomorrow. We have a road trip this weekend, looking forward to using it.

Doc

I think I am seeing a common thread here. You think you bought an RV when what you actually bought was an RV kit (some assembly required). The same as new boats, new homes ect.

That's a good way to put it. I think you have to expect it unless you are willing to pay a million bucks or so for an RV. I'm not, that's for sure!

It's a sad day in America when a person spends $100-250k on a recreational toy and is told to "settle" with the extremely poor quality and oversight involved in the units. When your talking this kind of money, what's another $5k for better quality in both Labor & Parts ?!?!
Simply build it better and absorb the cost into unit !!!!!

They could certainly afford it with the markup they have!

I thought that Scangauge was for diesel engines. Is their a gas version or does it work on both gas and diesel?

There are several models for gas and diesels and for different protocols.

I wrote Thor Customer Service about the placement of the thermosat and they replied quickly and passed it onto design and engineering. But then again I have not asked them to correct it yet.
