This sound like transfer switch?

110 works fine on shore power. Kill power to MH and start Onan. Clock on microwave flirts with start then goes black,( faint click under bed as clock light flickers on off ,my guess transfer switch energizing then kicking out) Sometimes breaker at genny trips, sometimes not.

I just brought the MH back today from dealer after getting my Invisibrake controller reinstalled after 14 days waiting on Roadmaster to rebuild and another 4 days for an appointment. I was finishing winterizing the fuel system and this bugaboo popped up. Its a 40 mile jaunt back to dealer and I just fought the ACE into the muddy back yard after an early snow. I do have an extended warranty, $100 deductible, but I REALLY don't want to drag the MH through the mud to get it out again.( I don't want to tell DW we need to take to shop AGAIN either, I wanted this big rig she was happy with the little old B+) I'd like to troubleshoot this and see if I can get a mobile tech out here to repair under my extended warranty. I want this beast ready to head south after Christmas! Ain't RV ownership grand!!

What you could try to troubleshoot is to pull the shore power wires out of the transfer switch on the side and move the generator leads over to there. If you fire up the generator and you have normal power in the coach, you will know it is likely the relay in the transfer switch on the generator side. You can get a new transfer switch for under $200 and DIY.

If you still have the same issue, then you know it is a generator issue and you can start troubleshooting there.

Good luck!

Before I would move any wires, I would check the connections between the gen and transfer switch. You know that the shore power to transfer switch and the transfer switch to coach is good. loose wire nuts have been found in many of the blogs here.
I converted mine to the WACO 221 Series lever-nuts. Wire nuts don’t like traveling down the road.

That's a good thought I will have to check that out. The genny worked fine last trip. It seems to be trying and a loose connection would be the simplest thing to try and track down 1st.
