Spare Tire Carrier
Hi, we need to add a spare tire carrier to our 2016 Thor Chateau. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I am looking for one to mount on the rear bumper rather than under to coach

I haven't seen Roadmaster's, but I understand that it connects to your hitch receiver. Here is a link: Roadmaster Inc. - Tow Bars, Braking Systems & RV Accessories

I bought one of these: CURTŪ - Spare Tire Set for 2" Receivers
Works well. Normally do not need one as I pull trailer with motorcycles inside, but going to Baja California for a month and not pulling trailer.
Inexpensive solution for us.

Do you have the square tube rear bumper?
If so, there are a few that bolt directly to bumper. Just keep in mind the spare weighs about 75 pounds, more or less. It takes significant effort to lift on or off.

Thanks for the info on the mounts.
I just ordered my reconditioned 16X6 3872 spare tire rim for my Vegas, part no: STL03872USTL03873U50 from Wheels and Caps (wheelsandcaps.com) cost was $69.92 with shipping at $19.07 and tax at $6.01 for a total of $95. NEW WAS OVER $400 from Ford dealership!!
THey did verify it would fit the 2015 E350.
I went out to look at the tires on the unit, they are Michelin LT225/75R16. I remember reading somewhere on this Forum a discustion between the LT and the LTR(?) one being for Light Trucks and the other being for RV's? Anyone remember or was part of that thread?

The LT light-truck designation is to differentiate it from car and SUV tires of equal size that don't have anywhere near the same load rating. Other names Michelin uses are for different models of tires.
If you do a search for your tire size in Michelin RV site I think you'll only find one model. And I wouldn't necessarily see that as better. Personally, I would match the same model tire you already have. And I'd make sure the load rating is the same.
