Steps wouldn't retract

Just what a person needs, to stop to gas up prior to a big trip and the darn steps won't retract... Well got home and checked the wiring diagram that Thor sent me and found wires for a door switch, but no idea where that was. Called Thor Tech support and within a few minutes had found the issue and another 5 minutes had it fixed. The wires from the door switch to the controller had pulled out of the butt splices (blue). I replaced those with pink (which are probably the correct size and rearranged the wires and all is well. Now I can nap peacefully..

It has been my experience that Thor’s people are courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. I’m glad they were able to help you out as well.

Where was the butt splices located at? I’m running into the same problem.
Thank You in advance.

They were under the coach on the back side of the steps. Two fine black wires and the harness with the too large butt splices.

AS long as you are replacing the splices, get splices with heat shrink covers or use a piece of heat shrink tuning over the splices. be sure that the heat shrink has the adhesive in them to water proof the connection.

Good call, I will use heat shrink with the butt splices.
