Super crazy slide noise on 24f

Anybody know what this noise is and how to resolve? It is for the 1st half of the travel of the slide going out and coming back in. When it is 50% or so out it stops. I checked the rubber gaskets and weatherstripping and nothing looks out of place, also made sure nothing is rubbing anywhere visible. It really sounds like some sort of rubber rubbing. It doesnt seem to affect the speed or function of the slide but sounds gnarly. Also, does anybody know how to manually put the slide in or out just in case this fails on our next trip? I have an appointment for early January but we have a trip before that and would like to know how it's done. Thanks for any help!

I would first try polishing both sides of outside walls of slide with PLEDGE. That way you can rule the rubber gaskets rubbing out.

It doesn't sound like rubber to me. It sounds like wood on wood. Are there any marks on the floor?

No noticable marks.

It doesn't sound mechanical to me. Not gears or teeth. It sounds like friction of two surfaces...like wood. Heavy wood.

Agree with the wood assumption. There is some rubber noise in there which can be toned down but the other part sounds like serious binding. Send this video link to Thor and let the techs hear it. Can you try manually assisting the slide out (pushing from inside) while someone else runs the motors?

I would think if it's wood. The extra friction would have already shredded the motor gear teeth.

When the slide is out have you looked underneath for any noticeable wear marks? A sound like that should be making a mark somewhere?

Perhaps its those safety pegs on the bottom. With a full wall slide like that isn't there 3 or 4 of them? (Look under the slide when its out you'll see some metal channels if you look in the coach you'll see some nylon looking T's that slide in the channel--perhaps one is misaligned.)

If you see no marks on the bottom climb on the roof and try to look under the slide topper (although I don't think the roof material would make that kind of noise).

I have a 24f. It sounds like the t-bar locks under the dinette are adjusted so they rub. If you look under the slide you will see two metal channels. Follow them back to the seal, pull the seal down and you will see the t-bars. I say this because the slide is making noise during the first half of the extension and that is about how long the t-bars are. I’ll send pictures in a post when I find them.

I would do the pledge trick first. Sounds like my patio door in my house that has a very hard rubber seal. Even wind shield wipers sound that way when they get old and stiff, just not as loud. It also appeared to me that the seals are not folding under properly. Maybe some seal treatment to sofen them up a bit.
