Tail Light Bulb - No Part Number?

Hi All,
I need to replace the taillight in my Chateau 31L. I pulled the lens and took out the bulb. There's no part number on it????

Anyone know what it is?

TIA
Ed

Taillight bulb number

Is it the brake/running lamp hi/low
With a black plastic rectangular base ??
If so, it should be a #3157
If it's a hi/low beam with a round brass base with two contacts on the bottom, it is an 1157

Bad Connection?

I replaced the bulb and still no dice however one of the pins on the old bulb was severely rusted. Didn't notice this before.

I'm sure the socket is too. Anyone have this problem and know of a fix?

Look inside the socket and see if it is indeed corroded? If it is you can try scraping the contact with the tip of a screw driver to clean off the rust. Or if you can get a emory board inside or a piece of sandpaper on the end of a screwdriver. You can also try an eraser on the end of a pencil if the rust isn't to bad.

"You can also try an eraser on the end of a pencil"

You'll probably have a better shot at finding the new bulb than one of these!!
