2015 Thor Vegas windshield wipers

The windshield wipers on my brand new 2015 Thor Vegas 24.1 stopped working when I pressed the wash button on the dash mounted Thor wiper switch (not the wash button on the Ford turn signal mounted wiper switch). This was the first time I used the wipers. I may have a bad wiper motor or wash pump, or a bad wiper/wash switch, or just a blown fuse. I don't know where the wiper fuse is located on a 2015 Thor Vegas 24.1. Any help would be appreciated.

You probably have one of the units with a bad washer motor. The fuse is in the panel under the dash. If you feel like swapping it out yourself, contact Thor and they will send you the assembly. It's pretty easy to do, I did mine. The washer motor is part of the washer tank just behind the bumper (when you open the "hood" look down).

Same here. Thor sent me new pump-tank unit even though I was the second owner. With it they had a prepaid box to send back the defective unit.
I think they had a bad batch of these on some coaches.

It happened to me today. Fortunately I was having the oil changed and the tire valve extensions checked (I could not air the tires.) The service technician tried the wipers and washer and blew the fuse. It took him a while to find out why, but I now have a washer pump in my pocket. He didn't tell me until I was on for a hundred bucks in labor. Now waiting for a pump, and in my third month of waiting for refund for changing the water pump. Thor can survive on the interest of holding other people's money while they wait on a refund.

A friend wanted to see my Axis earlier this week. I told him about the service issues I have had and he stepped away from Thor and is looking at another brand. The issues were not the problem as everyone has things break or stop working. It is the waiting for Thor to man up and take care of the customer.

When people ask me about our camper and the quality thereof I usually reply that the RV industry in general is kind of skittish with respect to quality. So far we've been lucky 4 times but its still a crapshoot. Its not just Thor, read the forums of other units and they will all have people complaining about their units quality and that they will never buy manufacturer XYZ's units again (I've come to the conclusion that those people will eventually get out of RV'ing as they make their way through all the companies and rule them all out).

The conversation usually goes like: "So whats it like owning an RV?" "That depends: How handy are you?"

Wipers quit working.

This is my first post. I would like to say thanks to everyone who does and this saved me a bundle.

I had the washer pump fall out of the tank. So yesterday when I had my 2015 Axis in for an oil change at a Ford dealer, I asked them if they could look at it. Won't go into the fiasco of the oil change but went to pick up the coach and now the windshield wipers do not work. It is 5:30 closing time and they are just finishing it up with no offer to do anything with the wipers. Its now my problem.
I drove it home since I am pretty good at working on the coach and figured I would work on it myself.
I looked for information here and RV.net forum. I had no power at the switch or motor. I located the resettable 20 amp fuse marked P6-1 F02 Wipers in the fuse panel described above. Placed a circuit breaker in place of the fuse and still no power. Put power to the the motor and it worked. Put power to the switch and it worked.
I did more searching on RV.net and found this: "Fuse #45 on inside Fire wall fuse box at left of pedal. Wipers work fine until I try to use Window WASHER. That blows the 5 Amp. fuse. Apparently there is a problem with the washer motor".

Low and behold there is another fuse box inside the cabin to the left of the pedal. Now talk about easy access!!! Not!

Sure enough the #45 fuse is blown. Replaced it and the wipers work. Used the washer pump and it blew the fuse. Took the pump out and hot wired it and it is set up. Found a replacement pump at NAPA and everything is back to normal. I spent about 8 hours troubleshooting and getting this fixed. I am just glad I wasn't spend $87.50 and hour at the dealer. It should have been an hour if I had known there was another fuse box!

The odd thing here is at the moment is that there is no fuse in P6-1 F02 Wipers and they still work. Other diagrams I saw say this is a spare.

Anyway, I hope this helps other if they run into the same problem.

Thor had a run of bad washer pumps there back in 2014 and 2015. They replaced mine under warranty (were really nice about it too: sent me the new pump so I could install it myself provided I send the old one back).

You did some good troubleshooting. Yes, I finally had to get an aftermarket WW motor also. Thor did send me a new one, tank and all, but the motor died after a couple of uses. I am the second owner so warranty was no good at the time, but Thor did extend a one time courtesy grant for the washer.
