Rear Wheels off the Ground
My driveway has an incline so to level it I block the front wheels the raise the rear. This places the rear wheels off the ground. I only do this while either loading the Miramar for a trip or working on the slides. Does any one know if this is okay to do?

I would be afraid of jumping a chock or chocks . It would also depend on how much of an incline .

I use the lynx chocks. The tire actually sits on the front edge of the chock, holding the chock in place. That makes them very secure so it can't jump or move the chock. I also use boards under the rear jacks so they don't have to extend very far. I was mostly concerned with the weight.

Once the weight is on the jacks your coach isn't going anywhere! Other than the fact you may be reaching the limits of your jacks having the wheels off the ground won't hurt anything. For better stability I suggest you install a set of Snap Pads on your jacks, they are a great product!!!
Many campgrounds with concrete pads now require pads under the jacks to prevent damage to to pad. The nice thing about Snap Pads is once they're installed there is nothing to do when you arrive except put the jacks down. Several members have purchased and installed the pads and love them, myself included!!!

My preference when possible is to park nose down and raise the fronts...
But if needed, you can raise the rears - be sure the fronts are securely chocked (sounds like you do that already). The jacks will handle the load - it is the loss of transmission 'holding' in park - and emergency brake - thatt is a concern.
A neighbor for a month this past winter decided to pull into a site forward (to face other family camping on the next site) - His DP had the main rear axle seriously in the air - tag axle hanging - for the duration of his stay. Never moved an inch... lol.

With 11 tons or so on the jacks with rubber pads you could park on the side of a mountain and the coach wouldn't move unless the jacks failed!

And if the jacks failed - you would then have the rear wheels on the ground in PARK with the brake on... Still not going anywhere.

Hi Guys,
So if any of the wheels are off the ground due to leveling in a camp site etc. it does not cause a problem with the chassis suspension? I thought I heard some where that it is not good to bottom out Shocks.
thanks..
