Better headlights

2018 3901 Thor Aria my low beams are terrible. Thor CS had no suggestions for me so thought I would try my luck here. Does anyone have anyone have a suggestion for a better bulb?

Several headlight improvement threads on this forum. I don't recall that any of them were Aria based though.

I posted about changing my 5.75 inch round headlights. See link below. From photos of the Aria i am guessing your motorhome has smaller sized headlights. 4.5-4.75 inch to 90 mm sizes are available in the after market.

I am a fan of JW Speaker because they are made in USA to full Federal (FMVSS) legal specifications and that means they work for driver and won't blind on coming traffic. Plus, and this a huge plus......they are excellent lights. Truck Lite and perhaps Peterson makes headlight units. These are not LED bulbs but a total unit that is designed to focus the LED light properly for drive and on-coming traffic. Good luck in your search.

The headlights and high beams are 90 mm housings. I have found 2 companies that offer LED upgrades. It will take some wiring and such but check out Kaper and Morimoto.

https://www.kaperii.com

https://www.morimotohid.com/?&utm_me...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

I ordered the Kaper II light fixtures. They are back ordered but will be replacing both the low beam and high beam lights. As soon as I figure out how to get the fixtures out. You can also check out Headlight Revolution to find wire harnesses because the fixtures come with bare wires.

I will post the outcome as I work though my upgrade but this is a place to start.

The LED fixtures you need are L01-0078 low beam and L01-0079 high beam.

Hope this helps.

Please do post once you get them in. I have a 90mm headlight project in the works and would be interested to hear more about the Kaper II

I appreciate your following up on this project. I replaced the halogen bulbs with led in both lights. The low beams work pretty well but the high beams are not very effective. Once I confirm size and removal techniques I will replace the high beams.

I didn’t see where JW speaker made 90 mm low beam fixtures

I went ahead and ordered the Speaker high beams. $400 delivered for the pair. Several places with lower prices but out of stock. The LED bulbs I put in my low beams work pretty well.

I’ll let everyone know how it works out

Happy Thanksgiving

I guess I wasn’t so smart. The place I ordered them said shipping in 10-12 weeks! I think that’s the same as Out of Stock.

Perhaps the fix is just to re-aim your headlights. I don’t think they bother with it at the factory. Mine were pointed in the wrong direction and it was very difficult to see at night. I pulled up my car next to the bus to approximate the same beam distance on the ground and position it slightly to the passenger side and it made (no pun intended) a night and day difference

Thanks. I tried aiming them and the halogen just don’t put out much light. I found another source for the JW Speaker lights and they have already shipped. I’ll let you know.
