I’m surprised that replacing the Trombetta solved your “dead coach” issue. The Trombetta just separates the chassis battery system from the coach battery system. If it is open, both “systems” should work separately. When you shorted across the two poles of the Trombetta, you were connecting the chassis and coach batteries which would have charged your chassis battery and allowed you to start your coach. The same thing should have happened if you pushed the emergency start button. It bypasses the Trombetta.
