Tow/Haul switch not functioning

Another thing I noticed when driving home through the mountains is the Tow/Haul switch not working.

On my 2003 V10 Class C Sunseeker, I would press the tow haul switch when going up a hill for the transmission to down shift without having to kick the accelerator pedal down and over rev the engine. It would hold that gear for much longer to get up the hill. The Hurricane does not do anything when I press the switch.

Anyone else have a Tow/Haul switch seemingly inoperable?

I have the tow/haul; switch and it does seem to work. However, I set and forget when I start travelling. I don't just set it as I am beginning to climb a hill.

Its possible the wire is broken/cut/wore through or a fuse is blown.

On my F-350 I had to get the tow/haul wire replaced because repeated use of the tilt steering would eventually wear the wire in two (there was a recall about that shortly after with the wire being too short).
