Engine battery type

My engine battery is dead. I cannnot start it with the emergency start. The generator will not start either. I have tried to find what type of engine battery I have, nothing in the manuals. I took down the engine cover and no sign of a battery. I suspect it is under the “doghouse” inside the cab. I am not going to remove that. The roadside assistance wants to know the battery type. Thor is closed today. The chassis batteries are full, due to shore power hook up. Anyone know what size engine battery in 2017 Thor Vegas 25.4?

I am parked in a rv Park, so no emergency. Next year I am selling this rv and moving into sticks and bricks. Maintenance is too overwhelming and difficult for me.

If you are standing in front of the coach looking in the hood the battery is all the way to the left under the HVAC intake hoses (under the passenger side "desk" in the dash).

Is your use/store switch in use? (The genny won't start if that is in store but if one of the batteries is dead (coach or chassis) the emergency start won't work either).

When in use hold the emergency start down for a few to transfer the charge and then try to start either genny or main engine.

Parked in an RV park? Is it plugged in?

Most Ford chassis use a Motorcraft battery. Before 2017, the battery used was a flooded group 65. 2017 and later chassis use a Motorcraft BXT-65-650 maintenance free battery. The chassis battery must have the recessed base for the hold down foot unless you change to a different battery tray.

Easy to get to...remove steering column and driver side tire, remove front cap, loosen left side engine mounts and raise engine about 6 inches and remove complete A/C system. If this doesn't work...try doing this to the other side...they may have decided half way through the shift to move the battery to the other side.

Jamie is correct. People have accessed the battery either by removing the right front tire and passing it through the wheel well area or... remove the "work station" inside the front passenger area. There is a thread here in the forum for discussion on this subject.

Thanks for responding. However, for me, removing the tire/wheel is not easy at all. Now i know how it has to be done though. I will keep researching to find the battery type needed so the roadside assistance can bring the right battery.

I looked in my file and found the battery that I had installed in 2017. 12V AGM GRP 65 775 CCA I believe the brand is a Deka Eliminator. Bought mine at my RV service shop and paid $265.

Guidance on Axis Chassis Battery Qwik-Fills?

Perhaps you can assist.
I looked at our 2017 Axis 25.2 Chassis Battery (it’s on a Ford E450 2016 Chassis – purchased as a 2017 in March 2017) Photo Attached: I can see G519S on the Battery and the scan code number CFIT-10655-B … I’m assuming it’s maybe a FoMoCo MK BXT-65-650 G519S. It does have removable caps same as house batteries and it took distilled water to bring level up to about ½ inch below the cell tops. I installed Flow-Rite Qwik-Fills on the house batteries easily and got a Qwik-Fill “B” kit for the chassis battery. Can’t seem to get the Quick-Fills to seat down on the battery tops, almost like they are too long and bottoming out on the cell tops. Has anyone fitted the Qwik-Fill on these batteries? If so is the spacer a “24” or a different length - I tried 24 seems OK for spacing, but cannot get the fills to seat ... they stay about 1/8 inch high?
Thank you for any guidance.
