Vegas Alignment

Finally got an alignment after 9 months and 6500 miles (plus 2500 when purchased new = 9,000 miles total).

It was a bit out of whack, although it drove nicely

Seems much better now and doesn’t move right anymore

Here’s the data sheet from the local alignment shop...$335

Looks and sounds like a "text book" alignment to me

They charge for shims now? WOW! I guess I've been out of the alignment game for far too many decades.

Would you tell us where you had this done?

Precision Alignment
Temecula, CA

I could have paid less if I was willing to drive 30 miles, but this operation was 1 gallon of gas from my home. And you know the price of fuel in CA

I wonder if they did an alinement for a E350/E450 Van if it would be half the price of an "A class motorhome".

But at least you know its done right. I should have mine checked out as well but it seems to track very straight and no vibrations + straight steering wheel.

Looks close to what I paid for the same thing at Redlands Truck and RV. Glad you got it done earlier rather than later as they say. And yes, well aware of what we pay. State tax is going up 6 cents a gallon starting July 1... but its "only" six cents...

That’s what I thought
Straight wheel, just a slight drift to the right
But then I began to notice the uneven tire wear, feathering on the outside of the fronts

So the alignment fixed it all for good
And I rotated the fronts to the opposite-outside rears

Seems perfect now

Don’t get me started
Drive 3hrs east to the AZ border, and it’s $.75-$1 less per gallon

That's about what I paid at a Ford dealership here in Texas. How do you Californians put up with the fuel prices? Can't you vote those kind of things down?

There are too many public sector union employees who have been given their marching orders...
Vote for all taxes or you’ll lose your “kushy” public sector union job

Plus, all the private sector union employees who depend on government work (I.e. roads, bridges, water, sewer).

It’s a golden goose for now, until those who pay taxes revolt and move

I say, the underground economy will expand. Cash only, no tax operators
