Vegas windshield winter protection

Soon will be storing the Vegas for winter with winterizing done for pipes. She has no cover and we do get snow here in Colorado - does anyone cover the windshield or best just to let it sit there uncovered (I think that is what the RV dealers do in our area)?

Secondly we get UV rays big time. If the windshield remains uncovered has anyone found a sunscreen large enough to protect the dash and drop-down sun shade or maybe a homemade solution?

Thanks.

I went and bought a truck sun shade that I leave on the from of the dash. Then I just keep the shade down.

As for UV, I suggest you buy tire covers. Your tires will deteriorate with the UV. I think about $50, Cheap insurance!

For winter I picked up a cover. In the summer I just cut up some foil from campingworld. Picked up 3 sheets and cut each to fit the side and front windows.

You'll also want to protect all the plastic parts with something (on the inside we picked up all the plugs for the inside hatches and I used some velcro with more foil to cover the shower skylight so that no UV gets inside).

We were thinking along the lines of a truck shade also but would that be pickup truck size or seml truck size? If semi where did you pick yours up?

For the side curtains and other windows we used white paper window shades we cut to size and attached with the clips that came with them.
