City Water Inlet Replacement

Need to replace the city water inlet, the check valve is leaking. What do you use for replacement gasket? The old one had some sort of sticky tape on there, but it looks like the replacement inlets don't have that gasket. I figure it will leak through the screw holes if I don't put something in there.

It holds some liquid when the pump is off, but if I pressurize it, water shoots out. Got it winterized for now, so I figure I'll just replace it in the spring, but getting the parts now.

Mine was doing the same. The check valve is right at the city water inlet connection. I pushed and rotated the check valve a bit when it was leaking too fast for the pump. The check valve reseated and held. Might want to give that a try before replacing it.

Thanks. I tried that. I pulled it out and worked on it a bit, seemed like it was holding but once I put it back in it wouldn't hold the pressure. Think it is borked.
