wierd bug deposits

I have a problem with little black dots on front of my rig. I know that they are caused by bugs. I tried many soaps and bug cleaners but no help. They are about 1/16 dia . and 1/16 thick Seems hard, and won't soften by soaking. I've tried credit cards ,but they are tough. I live in western NY but I can't identify what bugs were there. it happened while parked at home on some vey hot days. I hope someone has figured this out. They are on paint ,chrome ,decals and glass.

Sounds like spider poop, I get the same spots all over my boat in the summer. Try rubbing the spots with cleaner wax, it has a very mild abrasive in it. If the cleaning wax doesn’t work try rubbing the spots with some white vinegar. I’ve used both methods to get the spots off of my boat and have had good success.

I know this sounds weird but try dryer sheets, dip a sheet or two in your wash water, wring it out and wash with it. Bugs wash right off.
Give it a try.

Another forum member suggested Lysol Power Foam for black streaks. It worked great for that.
I used it on the front of my motorhome and it got the bugs off. I didn't have the same bugs that you have.

I have heard this too!

My motorcycle washing, to get bug guts off, consists first rinse with water.
Then with a damp cotton towel, or rag, baking soda wetted, and rub them off.
Not very much elbow grease either.
It is now my first step in the regimen of the washing, rinse off with water, easy!

An old biker told me this and it works for me.

But if it is tar speckles, kerosene, or diesel fuel dissolves it.
Just give it some time to work on it before the wiping.

Try the baking soda, stuff is cheap!

We always had pretty decent luck with Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover...

As a former rent a car business owner...... When there is any chance of bugs..... Spray the front of the RV with Pam. We did this while we owned an Avis business in Florida. During love bug season it is a must. The love bugs will wipe right off. Just don't spray on the windshield. Use RainX on the windshield.

We were headed through Mississippi last fall and started to hit love bugs. We stopped on the side of the road and sprayed Pam on the front of the RV. When we got to the campground the front was completely covered in bugs, but with the Pam they washed right off.
