Slide out

So we took the camper on our first big trip to the East. First stop Sandusky Ohio. Stayed at Cedar Point. Great time until time to leave. Slid out would not go in. read the manual and it said to check underneath at the control module and override the system. Did that and it worked but have to do that every time to put it in or out. Any ideas?

8 blinks of red which is wire short between controller and motor.

Same error we got on our shakedown cruise last year. My slide, however, stuck when it was partially extended and the override would not work. The problem was the wire came unplugged from the motor because the bulb seal that serves as a wire chase was missing. Thor reimbursed me for a mobile tech to find and correct the problem and then sent me the bulb seal which I installed myself.

The video they posted above says 8 blinks is Hall Signal not present. Same thing?

The video may be based on an older version of the controller with different error codes.

If it were me I'd try calling Lippert. Their tech support folks may have a couple of things to check before hauling the coach back to the dealer.

I also had the same problem, however, my wire came loose from the panel. They told me the wire was stretched to tightly, they put in a new loom.

So I ended up taking it to get fixed. They called today and said some parts broke on the motor and pieces were missing. He called the extended warranty company and someone has to come out and look at it. Good thing I got the extended warranty because it sounds expensive.
