Windshield Shade Recall

I just received a recall on my 2017 Challenger for a potentially faulty windshield shade. Apparently, the electric motor can lower the shade without warning while you’re driving. Definitely not a good thing! Hopefully, I can get this fixed soon.

Any Jayco or Thor MC dealer or mobile tech can do can do the warranty fix. Just check with Thor to get approval, FIRST.

This visual I just had... I wonder if it's like the Takata Airbags, first a few cars, now millions.

According to the letter I received, the recall applies to 2017-2019 Challengers, Miramar’s and Outlaws.

My Challenger dealer is on my "never darken their door again" list for many reasons. I have 2 recalls to have done on our 2014 GT & been wondering where to go. Have a Jayco dealer just 90 miles away, so gonna give them a call.

Thanks for the tip, Beau !!

I bought my Challenger from MHSRV, in Alvarado, TX, just south of Fort Worth, which is about 5 hours from where I live. I’ve had all of my service (both manufacturer’s warranty and my third party extended service contract) done at the Katy, TX Camping World. Contrary to most of what I read about CW on this forum, I’m actually pretty happy the service I’ve received from them. They have treated me pretty good, especially considering that I didn’t purchase my coach from them.
