black tank cut out

I found the piece of plastic that was cut out for the toilet hole.. it was floating under the toilet opening..how would I get it out? will it hurt anything to just leave in there?

Leaving it in there risks the possibility that it can block the tank drain as others have discovered at the most inopportune moment.

Skill level is important here.
It'll be $1000 labor to pull that tank....

Weigh cost against percentages of blockage chance.

Otherwise
Drain and flush out the tank.
Remove toilet
Reach in with needlenose pliers
Get lucky
Pull out piece.
New toilet base and valve gaskets(because you can)

Less than three hours of your time.

Thor Quality at its finest!!

I took off toilet
Got it close enough to toilet hole, got my hand into tank and snagged it with vice grips

Then applied pressure to ben 90 degree bend and pulled out.

That was toilet stright drop in tank. Used horse mare V checker arm glove.

Didn't want a poo pie witch was happening to buddies rig
