Door handle replacement and window replacement
So, yesterday was a day from hell...not as bad as when our toad caught fire, but still bad.
First our 2018 37.4 rear slide would not retract on one side. After a lot of troubleshooting and looking we found that the main wire had become disconnected - the wire runs near the bed and it got pulled which caused the connector to some apart near the motor - reconnected an all is back to normal.
We locked our deadbolt and decided to go get a snack at the campground cafe, Phones on charger in the rig. Came back and the door would not unlock - never had a sign of any issue. We eventually had to break the emergency window in the bedroom to crawl through and take the door assembly apart - so now we have no deadbolt. and the handle lock is not really secure, especially for traveling (have to tie the door closed).
Has anyone replaced that door assembly and do you have any specific replacement suggestions with part numbers or vendor? We had the issue of the door internals failing on our prior Outlaw, but it was a different door assembly. This assembly is not the standard Trimark i have seen as the interior is white with handle, dead bolt turn handle, and small lever switch to lock handle.
On the off chance, has anyone had to replace that emergency window? and if so how did you proceed?
I do have an email out to Thor, which they usually are very good at replying - but all constructive input appreciated.
