Yep... a spoon dropped in the toilet
of all things! Pouring the soapy dishwater down the toilet after doing dishes and had some help. Guess someone either thought the spoon wasn't clean enough and needed to go back in the soapy water, or thought it would never get clean enough and needed to be gotten rid of. Now the problem is how to get it out of the black tank.

Suggest you try a "mechanic's flexible magnet" usually about 2 - 3 Ft long. If you have a similar spoon you can test it to ensure it will potentially work on the lost one. I use one of these when I drop screws etc. behind the washing machine

If a pickup magnet won't work try a set of mechanical fingers like these.

They come in varying lengths and most home improvement centers will have the 2 foot long version.

Or a strong stomach and some good rubber gloves...followed by lots of soap and water.

If you can get to the underneath side of the tank, use a magnet on the outside of the tank to drag the spoon over so you can see it from above.

You are not the only one that has done this. I actually opened the post because I thought the story of a friend of mine somehow made it to the Thor Forums. They have a travel trailer and did the same thing threw out the dish water down the toilet. I am not sure if or how they retrieved the spoon.
Reminds me of the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater"

Pensacola Beach RV Resort $$$$, Fort Pickens National Seashore, Big Lagoon State Park and several on Perdido Key. Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores Alabama. Availability may be a problem.

yeah, that would seriously be a problem in my case, since it's not a straight drop down into the tank from the toilet...... not sure what I would do.
guess i would keep my twist on valve in place at the discharge fitting, and hope that some day the spoon would lodge into the main black valve. The twist on valve would let me keep things shut off till I can drain the tank and disassemble the valve to reach in and get it.
The dowside I can imagine, is the thing lodgeing at the point where teh pipe joins teh tank, stopping flow so that the tank can't be drained..... ugh.
Might be worth finding someone with a plastic welder, to cut open the tank and then re-weld it.
or just thinking out loud, maybe just buy a good bulkhead fitting, that can be used to cap off the hole after fishing out the spoon.
