Ford Flex

Anyone towing a Flex 4 down? The manual says it's ok. Our 34.2 Miramar tows 8k lbs. the Flex is 4500 curb weight. Do i go with an 8k towbar or 6k? About 4-5 hundred $ difference.

Either will do the job ... what one do you want to handle or repeatedly deal with? Look at weight, how it connects and stores ... think about what one you'll enjoy connecting/disconnecting each time so that its fun vs. a chore. Personally I'd choose the lightest weight, easiest to use option rated to handle the load.

Just because you have an 8K hitch doesn't mean you can tow 8K.

The Miramar 34.2 has a 22K GVWR and 26K GCWR which give you 4K of towing capacity. You can gain some capacity by keeping the cargo and passenger weight down somewhat.
