2019 Cherokee Wiring Harness

We purchased a 2019 Trailhawk to flat tow behind our Quantum. There seems to be some confusion about whether or not it needs a wiring harness. We ordered the wiring harness from Mopar and when it arrived we decided this was better left to a mechanic because the instructions looked too involved for us. So we had a mechanic install it. He called and said the relay was missing from our kit. He ordered another one and that kit had no relay. This caused us to research this issue further and we have read the harness is not necessary. Has any one else read this and is anyone towing without a harness? why would Mopar sell something that’s not necessary?

From what I have read, the 2019’s have finally incorporated keeping the power steering powered while towing into the vehicle design, and the death wobble kit isn’t needed.
