Hurricane ladder breaks

I have a 2015 Hurricane with a ladder problem. The ladder support tubing breaks away from the part which screws into the rv.ThIs happened with two ladders and not because of weight (I weigh 190 lbs.). Any suggestions for fixes? I'm considering a separate brace to prop the bottom supports which would come up from the ground.

I added a hard rubber tube (2 of them) I found at a swap meet. Attached it to the bumper just under the closest step to help support my weight and keep it from pulling the screws out. I go up often to clean the solar panels.
