This leaves me wondering what happens when the front comes up a rise and the rear end dips low. I assume there is a hinge point but there seems very limited clearance between the car and the rear cap of the MH.
Not to mention that this would exceed the allowable tongue weight for most hitch mounts.

These one-wheel trailers (seen some with two wheels also) do hinge at bumper. Main advantage versus a normal trailer is that motorhome can be backed up as if nothing was back there.

P.S. -- hinge point is not a standard receiver. The ones I've seen at Houston RV show had two points off frame rails that only pivot up and down, not side to side. Seem often marketed for golf carts and large motorcycles.

Interesting!! I was more concerned about the rear overhang aft of the rear axle. Definitely can't make sure turns with something next to you!!

I towed a BT-100 <https://smarttrailers.com/> for 188,000 miles behind my UltraVan <https://www.corvair.org/chapters/ultravan/>. The hitch used two 1&7/8" balls - 30" apart. You can by an adapter for a 2" receiver hitch.

The UltraVan is such a classic motorhome. One of the original gas pushers.

It would be great if we had modern versions of such motorhomes. Unfortunately there has been limited demand in US for MHs that size. Still, that's a lot of miles you got out of it.
