ACE 30.2 Empty weight

I have searched and can't find the answer. Anyone know for sure the empty weight of the ACE 30.2?

I need to install a lift for my daughters power chair that weighs 400 pounds and her with chair weight 500.

How critical is it to stay under the 18k GVWR?

Thanks
Ralph

Thor weighs the coaches empty as they come off the assembly line. The results of the weigh is shown on the door sticker. For my coach the CCC is 2,125 lbs but that includes the outside kitchen which weighs about 40 lbs. When traveling for a month, we usually max out the coach in weight at 18,000 lbs. I would not overload my coach but it is regularly done by others with few problems. The main problem with overloading the coach is the springs settle near the overload bumpers making the ride extremely harsh. The front axle is the same for all Ford F-53 chassis. Only the springs on the front are changed to fit the gross chassis weight.

Seems to me you don't really need the empty weight--just take it to a scale and see if you have the 400lbs or so available for the lift.

GVWR - scale weight...if that number is >400 you're good to go.

Granted you'll want that to be a lot greater than 400 to accommodate things you didn't have in the RV at the time of weighing it (like people, water, fuel, food, etc.).
