New tow vehicle for Axis

We finally have a tow vehicle (Nissan 370z Roadster) for our Axis. We were trailering a Can Am Spyder but this was not working out well for the wife. She did not like wearing a helmet or riding in the rain.

Lol, that's a good solution because it doesn't look like the convertible is going to old anytime soon.

Very nice! We flat tow a Mazda Miata 6 speed. Not as fast as a Z, but still lots of fun to drive.

It's funny you mention the Miata. The Miata is what I was looking for before I eneded up with the 370z. I wanted the light weight and the hard top convertible. The tow setup would have been cheaper as well because I would not have needed the $1,300 braking system. In the end the extra space won out but I still love the way the Miated drove and handled. They are also extremely reliable.

Janet's car is the Chrysler 200 with the hard top I like it a lot no noise when she takes me on the highway. It also has nav and bluetooth which she wil not use says the bluetooth runs down her phone battery too quick. I will set up the Nav when we go some where but there is a map in her hand when she gets in. I have the nav in my truck and she will argue with it on what is the route

We tow a Miata, too. Ours is a 2002 with the 6 speed. We flat tow, and that little car has gone around 50,000 miles that don't show on the odometer. I check the camera now and then, to make sure it is still there! Miatas give you more smiles per mile!

I was terrified when I first pulled out of the RV dealer that intalled the flat tow setup. I stop three times on my 15 mile trip home to make sure everything was okay. I don't know how long it will take me before I am confortable since I have never flat towed before.

I really wish the Z had a hard top convertible setup. I have not looked at the Chrysler 200's, I will check them out.

Our Miata is a 2002 also. It has a removable hardtop, which we use a lot. Use the backup camera to check it too, since you can't tell its there while towing.
