New toy for The Bettye

We have the scooter and the hitch mounted to the back of the Bettye. Job went okay, the hitch instructions were obviously written by someone that was not a natural English speaker. But we sufficed and got the job done. Taking the rig to Lake of the Ozarks state park today, going to see how she does!

The Bettye with the SMC 600 Motorcycle hitch worked great! We were followed by friends in a Jeep, and they said it never even budged a bit. Easy to take the scooter off & on the hitch, stable, safe and a cheaper compromise than a towed.

If you've got friends with a Jeep (): you shouldn't need a Scooter!

Glad to hear that the Maiden Voyage was a rousing success!

If we had a towed hitch, and a braking system, and they wanted to let us use it.......and so on. But, I see your point. Maybe next year when we are hoping for a trip to Colorado & Utah!

We are going with a pair of Tomos mopeds. Not fast or pretty but light enough to pick up and carry both on an ordinary cargo carrier.

We're changing things around here... I'm not sure what we'll be carrying for RV Park mobility; but it should be something neat!
