Anyone using a PullRite SuperGlide

I just bought 2 year old 18K PullRite SuperGlide hitch for industry standard rails off my neighbor for $500 bucks, I hope this was a good deal. He sold it because he bought a new long bed truck with integrated rails. My question is it appears that it sits 5 or 6 inches higher then a standard hitch and was wondering if there's any adjustment on the hitch to lower it. I can't find anything on the hitch that looks adjustable.

You cannot lower the hitch (at least I'm not aware of it.) But, you can change the height of the pin box on your 5th wheel. Look for the different locations of the bolt holes. It's a two man job. Good luck.

I called PullRite and spoke to customer service. They make brackets that are an inch in a half shorter that connect to the rails so they are going to send me those. Better then nothing I quess

Make sure you have the required distance atop your truck rails. Need about 6". If lowering the hitch makes the clearance under that; I wouldn't lower the hitch.

Mark, I will check that, but I should still be fine because my last hitch sat 5 to 6 inches lower then the SuperGlide did and I had around 7 inches of clearance with the old hitch.

I have the Pull Right. The dealer adjusted my hitch on the my 5ver. If you have a Tri-Glide Air Ride hitch you may not be able to adjust your hitch on your 5er. I never had the dealer check with Pull Rite about lowering the Pull Rite. Didn't need to.

I pulled my camper for the first time with the PullRite hitch. The clearance between the bed and the 5ver was just under 7.5 inches with the 5ver a little noise high, but not bad. The pin box is as low as it will go and I got the shorter brackets for the hitch.

I don't have the PullRite hitch, but when I got the new truck, it was higher and consequently that raised the nose of the 5er. I switched over to 16 in. wheels and tires. Mine wasn't out a long ways, but that did help level things.

Thanks for the advice, when I need to replace my tires I will look into buying new 16 inch wheels and tires.
