That sounds like a simple question but the answer is more complex. On the surface the answer is yes. I have an 8,000 capacity on the receiver of my Miramar. But you need to look at the weight limits in your manual for the capacities of you coach, not just tongue weight and towing limits. My guess is that you are fine.

Weigh your fully loaded RV and toad on a scale.

Compare total weight of both with the GCWR of your RV.

Example; My Jeep weighs 5400lbs. and my Thor 32N weighs 17,800lbs.
Total is 23,200lbs loaded.

The RV has a GCWR of 26,000lbs.

So I can tow my jeep with almost 3000lbs. to spare.

The tow bar is rated at 8000lbs. So all is well.

I think you will have similar numbers, but you must actually weigh your loads on a scale to be sure. Also your tow bar rating.

Hope that helps.

Is it a full size Pickup or a Toyota Tacoma? My GMC 2500HD weights nearly 9,000#. The biggest concern I would have is whether the gas RV can handle that additional weight on the hills....depending on which truck you are talking about.

What year truck?
(Is it a steel body; or aluminum?)
There's probably a 700 pound difference between the two...

A quick "Spec-Check" shows that weights can vary from 5128, to 6200 pounds...
(Depending on how it's optioned-out.)

We have a Miramar 34.2 and tow a Ram 1500 with no problem at all. We use the RVIBrake3 system in the truck and the Blue Ox tow bars.

I had a 2013 Tacoma 4X4 that could not be flat towed unless you added a driveshaft disconnect. I believe the new Tacoma's have that same restriction.
Also, did some research on the new 2019 Ram and according to what I found, they could also not be flat towed so I went with a GMC Sierra instead.

First!! Make sure it is towable! Check owners manual or contact Manufacturer.

Then check out the weight to towing ratios.

A 2019 is Flat towable if it is a 4x4

2 wheel drives are not towable...
