Locking hubs? What kind of jeep?
The distance between the centerline of your base plates, hitch apparatus, tow bar design are be determinants (assuming tow bar and not dolly).
See this to get you started. It worked out in the end, just a trudge through physics and geometry getting there: http://www.thorforums.com/forums/f9/...ght-15126.html

Sorry for all the questions but I am truly in the dark!
My jeep is a Wrangler X. Manual transmission. 4x4

I was looking at the Ready Brute and it seems like a good system. Do the tow bars stay on the MH like the Blue Ox system?

I got all of my stuff from etrailer.com. Competitive prices and lots of very helpful installation videos if you elect to do it yourself. I self-installed the base plate and light kit on my Wrangler. I had the brake controller installed by a local hitch shop.

I went with the roadmaster base plate. It was a direct bolt on install, 6 bolts. Very easy The Blueox required removing the bumper, forget that to much work
imo both are quality base plates

You need to buy a tire cover that has the right vinyl graphics on it...

The rest of the gang took care of all the important info...
I just threw some humor into the mix!
Congrats on a great choice! How about a picture or two of it?

Well since everyone has added their choice I will through in mine. We have road master all terrain tow bars and base plate. For braking we have their invisibrake which fits perfectly under the drivers seat and makes the braking system just plug and play.

Get a Blue Ox from Extreme Terrain. We have a 32' Chateau Thor and it is easy to hook and unhook and we don't even know it's back there

Thanks to each of you for your help! I’ve decided to go with the Ready Brute Elite with a Blueox baseplate. I chose the Blueox because it’s the one the guy doing the install recommends.
For those of you that have the Ready Brute system, did you have the indicator light installed in your MH that shows when the brakes on the toad are applied and released?
