Sonic TOAD

Hi All...

Just bought a 2015 Chevy Sonic hatchback with auto transmission...NOT an RS model. This will be our TOAD.

Owners manual says to be TOAD remove fuse DLIS (easy), turn ignition to ACC, and put transmission in Neutral. There is actually a way to put the tranny in Neutral using a magical little slot just northeast of the shifter, but I understand the key in ACC position so the wheels will turn. I think I got all that. Anyone have different experiences?

Now, what I've not been able to find is whether or not the odometer adds miles when being towed. Anyone know the answer?

Thanks!

I have a 2013 Focus and it doesn’t add miles when we tow it.

We tow a 2017 Sonic via a BlueOX and it does not add miles while towing!

Do you have a break for your toad? If so, what are you using. I have a break buddy and find it hard to use. Thanks

jannda, we do not have a brake system yet. Just bought the Sonic so we would have it ready for the service dept at the dealership we are getting our Palazzo from.

From all my reading, I lean toward Invisibrake, but will seek service dept advice also.
