Magnetic tow lights

Hi first time with tow dolly and everything working fine. Except ( of course had to be) the magnetic lights on the tow car left a circular mark on the paint. I think it will buff out but any ideas how to prevent this ? The lights have a “ do not remove to prevent paint scatches) decal in place. Thoughts or experience with this ?

I cut a small piece of very thin "T-Shirt" material the size of the magnetic base and place it between the magnet and paint. Works great but holds moisture. Make sure you let it dry out occasionally.

Well,the wife wins another one.... I had other shall we say “ideas”,she said “why make it complicated, just cut up an old T-shirt”. So thanks for that !!

Just make sure it's not an old Rolling Stones shirt. Or...better yet..her idea...her T Shirt!!!
