I've been using my ez-pass for 3 years in the MH with my toad. They charge my toad the same as when I tow my trailer. They recommended I not keep the toad transponder where it can be activated going through the ez-pass lanes to make sure it does not bill two vehicles in lieu of one vehicle with a vehicle in tow. I've never used a manual lane and have used the ez-pass lanes literally hundreds of times successfully.

Yep... but others following and perhaps planning a visit to Florida might be interested...

Florida has TWO systems... EPass is the Central Florida Expressway authority - and Sunpass which covers everything else (Turnpike, and other roads...)
These two systems fully interoperate with each other - either one can be used on all toll roads in Florida - including parking at major airports.

They differ on interoperability with OTHER systems...
Epass locations (central Florida Expressway) began accepting EZPass earlier this year... But only the new EPass Extra transponders are accepted by EZPass locations - appears to be only a 'movable' transponder at about $20.

Sunpass does not honor EZPass today - nor does EZPass honor Sunpass.
Sunpass offers a moveable transponder (about $20 I think) or permanent sticker ($5 each)

There was a federal law that all systems were supposed to interoperate by some magical date... Texas and Oklahoma are the other two I am aware of that are still out on their own...

(Many interstates and other roads are 'no toll' in Florida... So often nothing is needed.)

Just place your EZpass in your coach or RV, you will be good. They will count total weight. 2,000 miles using it that way, no problem

The new E-pass Extra from the Orlando Florida transit authority covers both the SunPass and the EZ Pass. They advise to use only one pass on the motor coach when towing the toad and it will charge correctly. Put the toad pass in the anti signal bag it came with.

When we were towing on the Thruway, we would tell the toll collector in a manned lane we were towing a car behind us. No problems.
New York State told me the same thing over ten years ago, I got EZpass so I didn't have to wait in line! I only used the manned lane once, after that I used the electronic EZpass lanes, sometimes they billed, me sometimes not.

I don't tow currently, but if all vehicles are registered (with plate #'s) on your EZpass account they won't fine you.

Just do what I do. Take a photo of Bob Denman's RV plate and tape it over yours. Then you don't have to pay tolls at all. :])

Im sure the bike rack was made with the thought in mind that the plate needs to be in open view so cameras can see it...lol

Dammit, Bob! How are we going to divvy up these tickets if we have the same license plate?

Nc easy pass

Just so you guys and gals know. The North Carolina quick pass works with all East Coast EZ pass toll locations as well as Georgia's Peach pass and Florida's Sun pass toll stations. I stumbled across the info before departing on my around the U.S. trip last fall and it worked flawlessly. I wasn't pulling a toad though. I just use a Honda Grom (motorcycle)on the back of my 2017 25.3 Thor Axis. Coming from the west coast I was looking for the simplest cash free way to use the toll roads and it worked for all on my 9700 mile trip.
